At North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital we carry a wide range of products to help maintain your pets’ health. Our in house pharmacy makes it easy for you to drop by at your convenience to pick up what you need.
Nutrition
We carry prescription diets both dry and canned for dogs and cats from Hills, Purina, and Royal Canin. These prescription diets help to maintain your pets’ health and manage medical conditions such as diabetes, skin diseases, dental care, stomach and intestinal problems, urinary and kidney diseases, and weight management.
Heartworm Prevention
Heartworm disease is serious and a potentially life-threatening illness that can affect both dogs and cats. Consistent treatment with heartworm prevention medication can prevent heartworm infection. Heartworm disease is curable; however, it is a very expensive treatment that takes place for several months.
Heartworm prevention requires a prescription from a veterinarian and for dogs a negative heartworm test within the last 12 months.
Flea & Tick Prevention
Flea and tick prevention is another very important aspect of your pets’ and your family’s health. Ticks and fleas spread some serious diseases to both humans and pets, hence the critical need for routine prevention. Controlling fleas and ticks can be done by consistently taking a preventative medication.
Dental Care
Managing your pet’s dental care is essential to their overall health. Our doctors will examine your pet’s teeth to determine when a proper dental assessment and cleaning should be done. In between these cleanings we offer a variety of dental care products such as toothbrushes, flavored toothpaste, dental chews, and prescription diets.
Additional Products
We carry a variety of additional products to help manage a range of health issues including shampoos for dermatological conditions and supplements for nutrition, digestion, joint health, and anxiety.
