UPDATE 5/9/2020: We have updated our COVID-19 policy in accordance with the lifting of the NC stay-at-home order on 5/8/2020. We still ask that clients call to check in upon arriving to the hospital, but clients may enter the building for doctor appointments as long as a face mask is worn. A face mask is required to enter the building. We are also limiting appointments to one client in the exam room at a time. If 1) a client does not have a face mask, 2) multiple family members would like to be part of the appointment, and/or 3) a client prefers not to enter the building, we continue to offer curbside service for doctor appointments. Technician appointments and pharmacy/food pickups will continue to be conducted curbside only.

As always, we appreciate your business as well as your understanding as we continue to navigate this unprecedented time. Please feel free to contact our office at 704-892-0207 with any further questions.

To our clients –

During this unprecedented time as we all do what we can to navigate COVID-19, we want to assure you that we here at NMAH are still here to continue to serve you and your furry family members. We have increased sanitation protocols beyond the already-rigorous ones that have always been in place, and we have enacted new policies and procedures to ensure we keep exposure to a minimum.

In order to keep our clients and staff safe, we are no longer allowing clients in the building. Upon arrival to the hospital (whether here for a doctor visit, a technician appointment, or to pick up food/medication), we ask that you give us a call at 704-892-0207 to let us know you’re here. If you need to pick up food and/or medication, a staff member will be happy to bring it to you in your vehicle. We can take payment over the phone or run your form of payment inside and return with an itemized receipt.

If your pet needs to be seen by a doctor, a staff member will retrieve your pet and take note of any of your concerns. You will have the option of staying in your car or outside (at least our beautiful NC spring weather has arrived!). After examining your pet, the doctor will come outside (or call you, if that is your preference) to chat with you, discuss any exam findings, and answer any questions.

The situation continues to evolve day to day (and sometimes even hour to hour), and we will do our best to be sure to keep you in the loop as information becomes available. As always, thank you so much for your business. We will get through this by supporting each other as a community (albeit from no less than 6 feet apart!) – and don’t forget to wash your hands!
